On reading the Poem ‘Silver’ I was struck by the sense of old giving way to new and the lineage of a place. As a founder member of the studios, I was delighted to be invited back to exhibit and renew my clay practice.
In my work, I returned to simple repeat forms and explored mark-making as a surface treatment. The grounding process of hand-building in clay and the rhythmic act of mark-making is quietly mediative and settling.
